Thespis is the first musical comedy to come from the creative collaboration of William S. Gilbert and Arthur S. Sullivan. Sadly, Sullivan's score has been almost completely lost, but Gilbert's biting libretto remains intact. The Durham Savoyards' own music director, Alan Riley Jones, has lovingly recomposed the score, and now this new multi-century collaboration will come to life for the first time. Join us for a concert reading of this old and new piece in the intimate setting of the PSI Theatre.
